They are NOT the Accrington FC which were a founding member of the Football League. That club folded in 1896, whereas Stanley was founded in 1891, so there was a brief period when both clubs were around at the same time.
Not sure if there was ever an Accrington derby, as they were in different leagues.

We've always been one of the best supported teams in the early rounds of this competition regardless of who we've been playing and anyone who says differently is talking bollocks.
Some premiership clubs get about 7/8 thousand.

Oldham and R&D around that time too. I remember R&D game, I went kids for a quid, my mate with a BEARD (same age) got done £35 for the EAST LOWER.
